 , in 1983\, the Flemish choreographer Anne Terese de Keersmaeker announced
  herself as a force to be reckoned with. This all-female quartet was femin
 ist but also femme. It was rigorous in its reiterative structure yet unlea
 shed in its movement. And it was sexy enough that when\, decades later\, B
 eyoncé’s people came upon the film version\, they couldn’t help snagg
 ing a few bits for her music video “Countdown.” When de Keersmaeker fo
 und out\, she didn’t litigate\, she gave Rosas Danst Rosas—or at least
  a few of its 95 minutes—away. Whoever had a chair and the desire to mak
 e something of their own was welcome to the gestural\, suggestive steps. H
 undreds of imaginative short videos ensued. Now\, post-dissemination\, wha
 t we might call the director’s cut returns. Sponsored by Van Cleef & Arp
 els’ generous dance wing\, the tour begins in Paris\, then travels throu
 ghout Belgium\, with a couple of forays into Switzerland.
