DESCRIPTION:Oct 8\, 2026 - Jan 10\, 2027\nBefore the silkscreens\, the Fact
ory\, and the Campbell’s soup cans\, Andy Warhol made his living as a co
mmercial illustrator. Even after he became famous for his mechanically rep
roduced images\, drawing remained central to his practice. In Paris\, the
Musée du Luxembourg is now presenting 150 Warhol drawings—early adverti
sing illustrations\, portraits\, caricatures\, and private works exploring
his sexuality. The exhibition traces the artist’s transformation from A
ndrew Warhola\, a young man raised in Pittsburgh\, to one of the most reco
gnizable figures in modern art. It also examines his fascination with cele
brity\, handwriting\, and death\, particularly after Valerie Solanas shot
 him in 1968.
