Despite this year’s cancellation of Frieze London and Frieze Masters in London, the eighth edition of 1-54, the leading fair of contemporary African art, has received the green light for its display at Somerset House. Plans for the fair involve 30 galleries, 110 emerging and established artists from Africa and its diaspora, and panel discussions, film screenings, and talks programs. For those who are feeling a little tremulous about attending in-person, 1-54 organizers have teamed up with Christie’s, who will organize the virtual viewing room. —E.C.
